Situation
The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is a monumental bridge-tunnel project connecting Hong Kong, Zhuhai in Guangdong Province, and Macau. Spanning a total length of 55 kilometers, it was officially opened on October 24, 2018. This engineering marvel not only facilitates personnel exchanges and economic and trade collaboration among the three regions but also significantly contributes to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, enhancing the overall competitiveness of the Pearl River Delta region.
Problem
Despite its success, the areas surrounding the bridge, particularly the piers and artificial islands, face safety challenges. Groups of people often gather for activities such as swimming, fishing, and clam collecting in the nearby sea areas. These activities pose risks to both the navigation safety of passing ships and the personal safety of the individuals involved. Additionally, there is a need for effective traffic guidance, safety management, and emergency response systems to handle unexpected incidents in these areas.
Solution
To address these issues, the management unit of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has implemented CTRLPA's Portable Emergency Directional Intense Sound System and Traffic Safety Early Warning System.
CTRLPA Portable Directional Intense Sound System for Emergency:
The MT1695X is used for safety control around the bridge and pier areas. Its alarm sound can reach over 1,000 meters in open areas, making it highly effective for safety announcements and guiding the evacuation of individuals who enter restricted zones on the bridge deck or sea surface.
CTRLPA Traffic Safety Early Warning System:
Installed at piers and key road checkpoints, this system provides long-distance safety guidance for both ships on the sea and vehicles on the road surface.
These acoustic device solutions have significantly improved the safety of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, enabling long-distance and large-scale safety control and command. As a result, they have reduced the likelihood of traffic accidents and other safety incidents, ensuring smoother and safer operations in the area.
